CARL DEAN MORRILL

Carl Dean Morrill- Born June 23, 1937 in Orem Utah to Desmond Morrill and Annie Viola Palmer. He was the 8th of 10 children. As a child, he lived in 6 different states, seldom living in the same place for even a year. The family settled in Salem, Utah when he was 13 years old. While in high school there, he started dating Mae Hunt, and they were married August 15, 1956 in the Idaho Falls Temple. After their marriage, Carl and Mae lived in various places in Utah while he worked and went to college. After graduating with a degree in Physics in 1966, Carl got a job in Redwood City, CA at Litton Industries as a microwave tube engineer. He transferred to their plant in Williamsport, PA in 1974, where he also served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The family moved to the area of Boston, Massachusetts in 1987, then back to the California Bay Area for a few years, and then back to Massachusetts. Carl retired and moved to Ferndale, WA in 2003 where he continued his church service. He passed away at home on January 8, 2021. He is predeceased by his oldest son, Brian Morrill (children Elizabeth, Shannon, Shawn, and Patrick), and younger son Phillip Morrill, and is survived by his wife Mae, daughters Sandra Taylor (husband Murray and children Jonathan, Nathaniel, and Jacob), and Lorna Shumway (husband Paul), and sons Gregg Morrill (wife Nancy and children Chloe and Ethan), Steven Morrill (wife Kaylin), and Jeffery Morrill.
